Does anyone know how he does the maps of his tracks.  I PMd Michnus to ask how he does it - I did not want to bother MetalJockey as I suspect he gets stacks of PMs when his ride reports are being posted & I know it is a lot of work to write them.
Michnus says he pasts them into Paint, tidies them up & saves as JPG.  I have done that from Mapsource but you get a very ugly Mapsouce map.  MJ has a MUCH nicer map.  Anyone know what map that is T4A?  Google?  I am busy with a 16 day RR.

I've got the same map that he is using. I followed his route on my map to get a bigger picture. It is the latest T4A on microSD.

I have the latest T4A also.  It gives a much better Mapsource map than Garmin Streetmaps.  My track shows up yellow when selected yet his shows up red & with an arrow-head at the end.  I also have the latest Mapsource etc.  Is the track colour selectable?  Are there other customisation settings worth knowing about?

Yes it is customizable. Right click on your route in the sidebar and go to properties.

In vandag se posts raak dit RERIG moeilik/morsig.
Mens kan net sulke goed doen as jou fondse amper onbeperk is - dit is duur fietse opneuk.
Daai ouens is hardcore - ek wonder wat is volgende na hierdie trip?

I have just caught up with it again.  When he did the Mozambique trip he decided not to ride in the dry season this time - wanted green bush & no dust.  This has been very serious - rivers to be expected but mud, head high grass & roads that are not open yet.  Where it stops has been the worst day he has had - much worse than when he broke his arm in 6 places.  They are not eating properly, it is hot & they are over exercising day after day.  In real trouble but I think they are now through it all.  I know he had trouble with his bike - they are still in Zambia but he has only touched on that aspect so far.
