Team RLT het vandag Birdsong en Velskoendorp (beide in Oudtshoorn) gekry. 8)

GRyPH, sorry man, my vlugte was deurmekaar en ek het eers die aand voor ek gevlieg het besef ek gaan 'n dag in Parys wees. Twee van hulle was micros (erge "stealth" moes gebruik word!!) maar die een by die lughawe was 'n regular - sal volgende keer laat weet!

Vir minstens die volgende 2 maande is ek uit die game want hier is niks in Ivoorkus nie - dalk kom ek in Accra en TR se daar is 'n paar. As ek kan sal ek hulle graag wil gaan soek.

My werk om caches te soek??  Ek wens, maar party dae ook nie, want daar is al 'n paar met raaisels wat al dae geneem het om uit te werk.  Ek is juis besig met 2 van hulle.  Wil al amper my hare begin uit trek..

Dis reg maar ek het altyd gedink die idee is om dieselfde ongelooflike view te vind wat in die eerste plek die plaser van die cache geinspireer het om dit daar te plaas, en om eerder te sit by die cache location en daarvoor te soek.

Moes diep in die donker bos in loop toe dink ek aan daai storie van die reeksmoordenaar en die victim wat in die bos gestap het. Toe se die victim: "Ek raak bang." Toe se die reeksmoordenaar: "Jy's bang, ek moet alleen hier uit loop!"

vandag was maar n moeilike dag vir caching.

Die roete wat ek gevat het (R44 - scenic route vanaf Hermanus na Gordonsbaai)  is gestrooi met caches. Op enige normale dag sal hierdie n caching paradys wees!  Maar siende dat dit sondag was, was elke Kapenaar moontlik op hierdie pad.   Ek het nog nie soveel bikes by n rally gesien soos wat ek vandag op die pad gesien het nie.

Daar was net soveel mense op die pad, dat ek meeste van die beplande caches vir die dag heeltemal gelos het.  Elke keer as ek wou stop om te soek, is die parkeerplek vol karre, en die mense staan orals rond wat dit onmoontlik maak om die cache in stealth the kry.

Daar was egter darm so paar wat ek wel kon kry. die wat bietjie weg van die groter skare mense was.

So met n teleurstellende caching dag agter die rug,  staan ek nou op 98 finds.
Gelukkig is daar nog heelwat wat ek kan kry oppad terug George toe  :mwink:

haha.   dis aan die ander kant van die koppie.   Jy gaan van die een kant af op tot heel bo.   Dan gaan jy weer aan die anderkant af vir omtrent so 5-10m.   As jy die cache in hand het, kan jy nie die parkeer terein sien nie.

Ek was Vrydag weer in die Langkloof gewees, en die keer het ek gesorg dat ek op die bike ry.  Was nou wel 'n bietjie koel, nee nee vrek koud in die oggend, maar dit was GREAT.  Op pad terug, ry en toe die grond pad aan die noorde kant van Joebertiena en vind toe die volgende cache:
GCHF18 - Onder Kouga.  Log hom asb vir die span vir 15 Julie 2011.

Fantastiese area, en as mens nie tyd het om die Baviaanskloof te ry nie, is hierdie sy tweeling boet, net BAIE korter.  Net so mooi en en die pad is ook omtrent in dieselfde kondisie, behalwe vir die beton stroke wat Baviaans het.  Sorry, maar geen pics geneem nie.

die TB hotel is n cool idiee.  al wat mens mag los in die cache is trackables.  en daar is n hele paar reeds daarin.
Alles in die cache wat sigbaar is op die foto is Coins en TBs  (behalwe vir die skryfgoed)

Ek volg Cape Town TB Hotel al 'n hele ruk. Lyk hoog op?

nogal hoog bo CT ja....  maar jy ry met die kar tot so +- 30 meter van die cache af.  

eintlik val dit onder park and grab.   rerig maklik en vinnig om by hom te kom.

die moeite werd om n draai te maak daar as jy weer in CT is.  gaan loer bietjie watse TBs is in die cache.   onthou om tracking codes te vat, om dit die kan log as discovered.  ek het vergeet vandag.

Cool. Ek is more in die Kaap. Miskien is dit tyd om weer bietjie te cache!

Die speletjie is baie interesant maar lyk my jy moet die regte GPS he asook heelwat tyd. Indien julle ouens afkom is daar seker heelwat in die Ceres/Sederberg area ?

Meeste GPSe kan dit doen....  en tydsgewys.  as jy baie op een slag gaan soek vat dit baie tyd.  maar om net een of twee te kry waneer jy verby hom ry is gewoonlik so 10min se soek.(afhangende van hoe ver jy van die pad af moet soek)

daar is baie ja.  :thumb:   ek het in Junie n hele paar tussen Wolseley en Tulbagh gekry.  (daar by die blokhuise net buite wolseley is daar 2 geplaas.)
Ek sien Ceres self het 3 of 4 en n bietjie noord van Prins Alfred Hamlet is daar ook n paar.

Ek het geweet ek het nie die span se naam ingeskryf by Jubilee creek nie, want ek het nie n pen by my gehad nie,  en het my eie met baie groot gesukkel met n stuk houtskool in geskryf.
En toe kan ek nie onthou of ek die span se naam ingeskryf het by walk in the park 2 nie.   toe log ek dit eerder nie.  geweet iemand moet een of ander tyd ook daai cache kry dan sal ons dit vir die span ook kan log  :MrGreen:

Thge last listed geocaches was VERY nice, in that it was a multi-cache and to find the last coords, you had build a small jigsaw puzzle.  Drawing of a whale on the front and the final coords on the back.  GREAT idea I thought and will entertain kids as well, young and old... :-)

Skryf beide jou eie naam en TEAM RLT FORUM in die fisiese logsheet.     Die span is n caching entiteit op sy eie en ons kan nie die cache vir die span log as die naam nie daar in is nie.  Net so sal jy nie die cache vir jouself kan log as jou naam  nie in die log geskryf is nie.

Dan ja, om rekord /stats te hou van alles wat jy self al gevind het, log jy dit onder jou eie naam op geocaching.com. Net soos jy reeds gedoen het  :thumb: (ek het gou geloer na een of 2 van die caches wat jy gevind het)

Log asb Tierberg by Keimoes vir die span.

Ek kom laai n vriendin op by JHB lughawe.  het al twee dae voor die tyd weg gespring so nou is dit n lekker rustige roadtrip. 

Ek het gesoek vir cache met die naam Tierberg,  maar die een wat ek aangeneem het die regte een is het nie n log onder jou naam nie.

Die onderste 2 is in Noord Wes.  


Dit beteken daar is nog net 3 provinsies waarin die span nog nie n cache het nie.   En ek werk nou aan een van die 3- gauteng.   Al wat dan oorbly is Mpumalanga en Limpopo.

Ek het 'n paar caches geïdentifiseer vir more, maar twee se logs is vol lyk dit my. Hoe nou gemaak? Kan mens die nie log nie?

Log hom op die website en rapporteer dat dit vol is  :thumb:

Neem sommer papier saam en sit dit in, rapporteer ook dat jy "maintenance" gedoen het - die eienaar sal dit waardeer

soos Dual se, vat n extra stuk papier saam wat jy in die cache los.
log jou naam daarop , dit gee ook extra spasie vir die volgende mense wat wil log.

report dit dan op die cache listing ook sodat die cache owner weet daarvan.  :thumb:

Ek het al die meeste van die caches in my omgewing gekry asook paar in noordelike voorstede. Franchoek, Paarl, Villiersdorp, Strand, Somerset wes, Worcester en so aan.

Onthou om julle PAF te gebruik, alhoewel dis cheating.

Nee ek was darem al by BAIE erger as daai een, maar op die dag, natgesweet met al my klere en min tyd, het ek net nie kans gesien om te hardloop en soek nie. Martin het hom egter baie vinnig gekry.

Baie van die multi's moet jy net jou common sense gebruik. Jy hoef nie eers al die stappe te doen nie, behalwe as jy natuurlik wil,  ::) bv Blushing bride en Tie a yellow ribbon in Franschhoek is 1 km van mekaar beide langs die pad en geen gevaar van muggles

as jy wil weet of die cache al gelog is vir die span of nie,  kyk in die boonste regter hoek van die cache se bladsy....   as dit reeds gelog is sal dit daar staan.   soos in die foto onder.   8) :thumb:   dit maak dit makliker om nie iets 2 keer te log nie.

ek het die cache in Beaufort wes gelog vir die span...(soos jul kan sien in die boonste foto.)

hierdie cache is baie goed gekamofleer (spelling ?)   ek het dit amper as n DNF gelog, tot my  beterhelfte wat totaal nuut tot geocaching is dit vir my uitgewys het.

Vark, ek wou so graag Kelkiewyn log. Het jy darem vir rooipoot hallo gesê?

Nee. Ons was van plan, maar die caching het ons laat gemaak en ons moes jaag om betyds te wees vir 'n game drive.  Daai was ons laaste een vir die dag.

7 weeks is een wat ek nog graag wil gaan soek.

Withoek Cache daar naby is ook die moeite werd. Daai hele Rouxpos pad is great.

Toe ek gegaan het kon ek nie brederode of SS M M vind nie.   Elim sn wou ek nie met 4 wiele aanpak nie, die pad het bietjie wild gelyk... en tip of africa is n nuwe cache.

Botswana is nog basies cache-loos so ek het niks daar gekry nie.

Ek sou meer wou gesoek het maar die meerderheid van die groep was nie bekend met caching nie  en toe ons dit verduidelik het was hulle nie baie geintereseerd nie so ek kon net die caches kry wat naby elke aand se verblyf was of die wat direk op ons pad was.


Horsepower (teamfugly) het ook 3 caches geplaas op die trip wat ek ook gelog het... sodra hulle gelys word sal ek dit vir die span ook log.  :thumb:

Hi guys, can you please check if any of you perhaps have some trackables that you removed from cache What a Climb! (http://coord.info/GC3JCRD) and haven't logged yet. GRyPH logged seeing a travel bug and dropping a coin and then all of a sudden they disappeared and the only log after him was Team RLT Forum. Thanks

Gryph would have logged for Team RLT as well, so it might have been a muggle?

I indeed logged the find for the team as well, together with my find.

I dropped the suncompas coin,  and at that stage there was another TB in it, a purple donkey called "bostik". (still had a laugh about the name)
I just logged that TB as found and left it in the cache, so ,no unfortunately its not with me.


I see according to the logs on the cache that indeed the next person claims both TBs to be lost. But the last person to log a find mentioned that he took a coin. No one else claimed to drop a coin after me, so it leads me to believe that it was the coin I dropped?

terwyl ek weg was het ek kans gehad om een cache te soek.

Ek het egter nie gps by my gehad nie, en my cell is nie op roaming nie so ek kon geen data kry nie.

Dit het my genoop om n cache te soek wat binne bereik van die hotel se wi-fi ontvangs was. En ek was gelukkig om net so een te kry.
So ek het hierdie een ook vir die span gelog.

Die cache wat ek die naweek gekry het was my eerste in n baie lang tyd.

het op ons laaste bike trip ook n paar gekry.       Het beplan om 15 te kry oor die 5 dae, maar ek het vergeet om die cache data op my foon te save vir offline use, en meeste van die plekke waar ons was het geen selfoon opvangs nie.  En dit is jammer dat ek nie sein gehad het nie, want as ek nou kyk waar ons orals in elk geval gestop het kon ek baie meer gekry het.  Baie van die plekke waar ons gestop het was daar n cache binne 100m van ons, maar ek sou nooit weet nie.
